SEBN ES (SEBN) is an automotive company that belongs to the Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze SE (SEBN) group and is dedicated to the design and manufacturing of wiring harnesses for the automotive industry.
In the SEBN group, more than 36,000 people work in various production plants and work centers in Europe, North Africa, China, and Mexico, with its headquarters in Germany (Wolfsburg).

History
In Spain, it started its activity in 2001 as a customer service center in Pamplona , and later in 2012 a development center was established in Martorell.
Currently, the market for automated electric cars is being boosted, both for existing and new customers.

Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze SE belongs to the Sumitomo Electric Group, which mother company is Sumitomo Electric Industries (SEI) in Japan. SEI is one of the oldest companies in the world, with over 400 years of history. It was founded by a Buddhist monk who, after leaving his time as a monk, transferred his understanding to business, encapsulating them in the principles outlined in “Sumitomo Spirit”, which are the foundation of the organization. SEI consists of around 380 subsidiaries and has about 280,000 employees.
The culture of Sumitomo Electric, based on Sumitomo Spirit, has been what has allowed it to endure and adapt throughout history.

Foundation based in Pamplona
This location started as a logistics centre and is now a service centre for the Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze SE Group (SEBN).
The Martorell centre is founded
This location provides R&D and quality related wiring harnesses for the VW group in Spain. Currently, 15 employees work there.
Opening in Cuenca
Due to its highly successful cooperation with customers and the execution of future-oriented projects, SEBN was awarded important manufacturing contracts, which led to the establishment of a new manufacturing plant in Cuenca.
Production begins in Cuenca
Cuenca will manufacture high-voltage wiring harnesses for customers' electric vehicles. After start-up, some 350 people are expected to be employed. The hiring process has already begun.

CUENCA
Cuenca will be an exceptional and innovative plant. For the first time in SEBN's history, the majority of wire harnesses will be manufactured in a highly automated way. This makes SEBN a pioneer in wire harness automation.
MARTORELL
This location provides R&D and quality services related to wiring harnesses to a Spanish automotive manufacturer. Currently, 22 employees work there.
PAMPLONA
This location started as a logistics center and is now a service center for the SEBN Group. Some of the services provided by the 30 employees in Pamplona are supply chain analysis, transport digitization and engineering services for production plants.
